J. Taylor Dugger

John Taylor Dugger has been a resident and stakeholder in Rutherford County since 2003. He is a native of Hendersonville, Tennessee.

Mr. Dugger was blessed to join Rutherford County Schools in 2014, as a 6th Grade Language Arts teacher and Head Soccer Coach at Rock Springs Middle School. The following year, Mr. Dugger was given the chance to become an Eighth Grade Language Arts teacher. He continued to serve as Head Soccer Coach until 2019, when he handed over the role to pursue a Doctoral Degree in Education. In 2021, Mr. Dugger was given the golden opportunity to join the faculty and staff of Whitworth-Buchanan Middle School. Additionally, Mr. Dugger has been appointed to serve in many leadership roles including Dean of Students, Leadership Team Chair, and English Language Arts Department Chair. He has also served as a faculty sponsor for The Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

Mr. Dugger earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University in 2008. In 2011, he received a Master of Education Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the same institution. He acquired an Educational Specialist Degree in Instructional Leadership from Lincoln Memorial University in 2017. He has begun working toward his Educational Doctorate Degree in Learning Organizations and Strategic Change from Lipscomb University. He is currently scheduled to complete the program in the Fall of 2021.

Mr. Dugger has been married to his wife, Jennifer, for 7 years. They are the proud parents of two daughters, Addalyn and Elizabeth. The Dugger family attends Experience Community Church in Murfreesboro. Mr. Dugger loves reading, soccer, college football, running, and spending time with his family. He also likes to golf, even though he never seems to get any better.
