WELCOME TO MY PAD!!!!

I'm Mrs. Vaughn and a Special Education Structured Setting Teacher.  I graduated from Cumberland University and this is my 10th year of teaching and was an Educational Assistant for 10 years. prior to getting my degree.  

My beliefs:  

*Every student is capable of learning, growing, and thriving.

*My teaching philosophy is grounded in the principles of equity, consistency, compassion, and high expectations.

*Students must have a Safe and Predictable Environment.  

*I prioritize creating a classroom that is structured, predictable, and nurturing.

*Individualized Instruction key as each student brings unique strengths, needs, and learning styles.

*I use data-driven instruction, IEP goals, and differentiated teaching methods to meet students where they are.

*I believe in the power of collaboration with families, therapists, and support staff.

*I integrate social-emotional learning, self-regulation strategies, and positive reinforcement into daily routines. 

*I am a passionate advocate for my students. I work to ensure they are seen, heard, and valued—not only in my classroom but throughout the school community. I promote inclusive practices and help students develop the skills they need to participate meaningfully in all aspects of life.
