WBMS Archery News 

What a great year the team had. Placing 3rd at the state competition and placing 68th out of 308 teams nationally. We are excited that we will have many archers returning next year and look forward to welcoming all new archers. We wanted to share some important information with you for the 24-25 Season.  

Things to DO 

• Complete the archer interest form located on the WBMS Archery webpage , permission to participate in a club, and sports contract.  
• Get a sports physical (this is a new requirement for 24-25 season) 

Important Dates 

September 20 ALL PAPERWORK and ARCHERY DUES must be turned in outside the front office of the building.  

October 1 All new to WBMS Archers must attend 

October 3 All new to WBMS Archers must attend 

October 15 ALL ARCHERS attend practice 

General Information 

Archery will run from September until at least the state tournament at the end of March. All archers will shoot in the fall tournaments, but in January the top 24 are the only archers guaranteed a spot in tournaments. The 24 competing archers will be determined by the coaches’ input. We will look at grades, scores, attitude and work ethic, and respect. 

Financial commitment for each player: 

As true in any sport, we need financial help. We must purchase all bows, arrows, targets, storage system, and safety netting etc. The cost per student signing up will be $100 due before the season begins. We will collect money on ONE DAY ONLY (September 20th). You must submit all forms and fees before you will be on the team (there will be no refunds of money except for documented medical purposes). 

Tournaments: 

Archers will compete in shoots on the weekend starting in November. Flight times will vary. Teams may be scheduled a flight time Friday evening, or during the day on Saturday. Awards will be given at each tournament for the top 3 male and female in: elementary, middle, and high school divisions.
