Important try-out information:

Please visit the Whitworth Buchanan Middle School website and click on Athletics (https://wbm.rcschools.net/apps/pages/athletics/main) and submit all information on Final Forms. Final Forms must be completed before a student can tryout. This includes a physical dated after April 15, 2023, birth certificate, and the student AND parent registration. The girls will practice after school on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays and will be picked up in the back of the school at 5:00 p.m. on non game days. Two teacher recommendations are required.

The Basketball cheerleading squad is not competitive; instead, girls will support our girls’ and boys' basketball teams by cheering at each game. Basketball games are held on Mondays and Thursdays. Cheerleading requires more commitment from both parents and athletes in aspects of time, money, and focus. You will be responsible for paying around $200 (shoes, bloomers, bows, poms, backpack, etc.) as well as any other miscellaneous fees that may come up in the basketball season.

We will practice in October, November, and December on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
