A little bit about your teacher...
My name is Lisa Murphy and I will begin my 18th year teaching ELA. I have taught eighth grade for 14 years and high school for 3 years. I received my Bachelor's and Masters's degree from MTSU. I have one adult son, a soon-to-be daughter-in-law, and a very large, close-knit family.
Weekly assignments will be posted on my website. If you or your child have any questions, please email me [email protected] and I will get back with you as soon as possible. Students are able to access our online textbook, Amplify, via the Clever link on the WBMS website. Other apps that students use are also found in Clever.
Parents, please encourage your student to read at home. Just twenty minutes a night can help build fluency, comprehension, and help improve your spelling. Remember, one of the best things you can do to improve your literacy skills is to unplug and read!
