#2. Drawing:

Elements of Art/Principles of Design: TODAY we will use Line, Value, Shape, Form, Space, Texture Emphasis, BalanceUnity, Rhythm, Movement, Proportion, Repetition, Pattern, Variety
Success Criteria-I can complete foundational drawing exercises to improve my drawing skills using the elements of art and principles of design in my artwork.

Detailed Drawing Assignment. PLEASE READ!!
  • This assignment will be a 5 day ASSIGNMENT. This drawing will count as 5 daily assignment grades (60% of your grade, for 5 days).
  • You should be drawing 30 minutes per day/with no videos to watch/JUST DRAW!
  • You must check in daily with a bell activity, a reflection (daily participation=40%), and a photo of your progress (daily assignment grade=60%). DO NOT WAIT to begin this drawing. 
  • Your drawing must be: detailed, neat, use texture (on the tree bark and leaves), shading and proportion (on the leopard), all of the drawing skills you have been mastering.

  • Look at the light sources for shading, and the texture in the tree limbs, coat of the leopard and details in the leaves/click link below the photo for source and to enlarge.
  • Paper orientation/horizontal, sketch entire scene on paper to get correct proportions, then fill in the details/UPLOAD or Email your progress DAILY.

Submitting daily assignment (Quarantine): Bring your drawings in upon returning to school! You may just sketch each day/subject of your choice.
 
In-person-turn your assignment around on your table so that Dr. Pass can circulate and read/see your writing & art work.
